常州是一座有着2500多年文字记载历史的文化古城，历史上有“龙城”之称，同时又是一座充满现代气息、经济较发达的新兴工业城市。她处于美丽富饶的长江金三角地区，与上海、南京两大都市等距相望，与苏州、无锡联袂成片，构成了苏锡常都市圈。她是“中国城市综合实力50强”和“中国城市投资环境40优”城市之一，并被确定为国家第一批可持续发展和全国环模试点城市。
Changzhou is a cultural city with more than 2,500 years of documented history. It is also known as “Dragon City” in history and is a newly industrialized city full of modern flavor and relatively developed economy. She is in the beautiful and affluent Yangtze River Golden Triangle region, and Shanghai, Nanjing, two cities across the distance, and Suzhou, Wuxi together into a film, constitute the Suzhou-Wuxi-Changzhou metropolitan area. She is one of “Top 50 Cities for Comprehensive Strength in China” and “Top 40 Cities for Investment Environment in China” and was identified as the first batch of pilot cities for sustainable development and national model cities in the country.
