在辽宁省西部建平县马场乡和张家营子乡的栗褐土区,采用最优回归设计设置玉米氮磷复因素田间试验。根据试验结果配置了二元二次效应方程,计算出两个乡在不同边际利润下的玉米氮磷最佳经济用量和配比。1987年在这两个乡的一千余亩玉米田上推荐 N 用量6~7公斤/亩,P_2O_5用量5~6公斤/亩的肥料配方,玉米平均增产15.1%,每亩平均获利润20.7元,达到了预期的目标。
