一、我省各地小学校舍,多系利用古老的祠堂、庙宇,或借用民房,因年久失修,其中不少已破败不堪,几年来各地倒塌校舍、伤亡师生的事故,曾连续不断发生。本年第一季度以来,我厅又接到不少市、县和专署关于此类问题的报告,最近新湖南报亦转来许多读者来信,均纷纷反映各地小学校舍破败情况与倒塌事故。如祁东县二月间有卅余所小学校舍被风暴损坏,倒塌廿余所,其中十一区乔木堂完小倒塌教室三间,压伤师生二名。衡阳县二区金丰乡分校倒塌,压死师生及家属五人(该县已作了善后工作)。祁踢县在一百一十余所小学中存在倾斜倒塌危险的廿三所,白菜市初小于三月十一日晚全部被风 First, many primary schools in our province use more ancient ancestral temples, temples, or borrow houses.
