近年来,转化医学应运而生,其核心是打破基础医学与临床医学之间的固有屏障,在从事基础科学发现的研究者和了解患者需求的临床医生之间建立起有效的联系,特别集中在基础分子生物学研究向最有效地疾病诊断、治疗和预防模式的转化。以转化医学理念指导感染性疾病的临床与基础研究的相互转化,将有助于感染性疾病的早期诊断、治疗和预防,提高其疗效,降低其发病率,防止暴发流行。
