航空工业生产具有品种多、质量高、批量小、试制频繁、生产准备周期短等特点。目前在生产过程中,主要采用专用工装,一旦产品改型,专用工装都要重新设计、制造,造成大量工装报废。近年来推广使用组合夹具后,对生产的适应性增强了,但是组合夹具元件的精度要求高,材料的稳定性要求较严,加工困难,制造成本高,致使在使用范围上受到了一定限制。当前在社会主义建设事业迅速发展的新时期,在保证产品质量的前提下,减少工装数量,缩短试制周期,是加速航空工业发展所迫切需要解决的一个重要问题。
