中国汽车工业正面临着新的转折点,中国经济型轿车开发再一次成为中国汽车工业如何发展的热点。几年前,中国有过一次规模不凡的中国家用轿车国际研讨会,迎来了世界上诸多著名汽车公司的专家,国内各大公司也纷纷发表各自观点和策略。但是,这几年特别是席卷整个亚洲,乃致影响全球的经济危机出现以来,中国汽车工业进入了持续低速增长时期,表现为产能放空,市场低速,企业效益下滑…… 过去曾经普遍认为,中国汽车工业的出路在于轿车进入家庭,“家用轿车”一词使用的频度陡增,令人眼花缭乱。 “中国经济型轿车”一词在寻找“家用轿车”的热烈讨论中出现。 新年伊始,于1999年1月8日~9日在上海交通大学浩然高科大厦举行了由国家机械工业局、上海市领导和各大汽车公司领导、专家参加的中国经济型轿车开发主题研讨会,与会代表来自全国各地。本刊特根据会议录音整理了主题发言的详细摘要,并按与会代表发言的主题内容作了部分文字改动和删节,以飨读者。
