印度-阿拉伯数码的出现,不仅在数学史上,而且在全人类文化史上都具有十分重要的意义.在中世纪时期的学者中,九世纪上半叶活跃在巴格达的著名科学家花拉子米为此作出了贡献.他的算术著作是在中东、近东和欧洲各国传播十进位值制计算系统和记数法的源泉.经过漫长的历史过程,这种记数法普遍代替了希腊人很不完善的字母记数系统,笨拙的罗马数码字和中国的表意符号,成为世界通用的数码字.本文介绍花拉子米算术著作中的十进位值制记数法以及建立在这种记数法基础上的四则运算,并指出这部著作的历史作用.
The appearance of the Indo-Arab numerals is of great significance not only in the history of mathematics but also in the history of all mankind.In the medieval period, among the scholars of the Middle Ages, the famous scientist Rajimmi who was active in Baghdad during the first half of the 9th century made His math writings are the source of dissemination of decimal system and notation in the Middle East, Near East and in Europe.After a lengthy historical process, this notation generally supplanted the very imperfect Greek letters Counting system, clumsy Roman numerals and Chinese ideographic symbols, becoming the universal digital word in the world.This paper introduces the decimal notation in the arithmetical works of the Rubra meter, and based on this notation Four operations, and pointed out the historical role of this book.
