医疗废弃物是医院和其他医疗机构在医疗过程中排出的废弃物,由于既往无统一管理办法,曾引出不少复杂问题,如医院内交叉感染、医院外环境污染给居民带来的危害等。除了已知的感染性废弃物外,有害化学废弃物由于致癌性、致突变性、致畸性更令人惊愕,在当前世界上一片保护地球、保护环境声中,如何处理好医疗废弃物理应引起医疗机构的高度重视。
