《中华人民共和国母婴保健法》于1994年10月27日,经第八届全国人大常委会第十次会议审议通过并由中华人民共和国主席令第三十三号发布,1995年6月1日起施行。这是我国在保护妇女儿童健康权益方面的第一部法律,体现了党和国家对妇女儿童的重视和关心。法律的基本精神是为了保障母亲和出生婴儿的健康,提高出生人口素质。该法的颁布实施,对于促进人民家庭幸福,民族兴旺和社会发展有着重要意义;标志着我国妇幼卫生工作进一步加强了法制化管理。
The Law of the People's Republic of China on Maternal and Infant Health Care was passed at the Tenth Meeting of the Eighth NPC Standing Committee on October 27, 1994 and promulgated by Order No. 39 of the President of the People's Republic of China, June 1, 1995 The date of implementation.
