电火花加工型腔模具时,中、精加工化费工时最多。一般来讲,电火花加工▽4~5时的生产率在40毫米~3/分左右,在▽6精加工的生产率仅有20毫米~3/分左右,电极损耗也将明显增加。因此,对于普通型腔模若能在电火花加工至▽4~5后直接进行修磨拋光就可以节省电火花加工的工时。此外,型腔模经电火花加工后的表面产生了由熔化层和热影响层组成的变质硬化层,为了提高模具表面完整性和光洁度,首先必须除去这层硬度极高的硬化层(图1),模具工使用油石、砂纸等手工打磨除去这层“硬皮”不仅化费大量工时,而且劳动强度较大。“电化学——
