本文考察梵文佛典《俱舍论》中动词语态范畴在汉译本中的翻译方法,分析真谛与玄奘两位译师对梵语动词词汇意义与语法意义的语言策略。梵语语态范畴包括主动语态、中间语态、被动语态和致使语态,各种语态的差别是通过动词语干后加上的人称语尾表现的,并且有系统的屈折变化。汉语中并没有梵语这种系统的屈折变化,只能使用分析性手段,或者利用动词本身的语义特点,来翻译梵语中的带有语态标记的动词。
This paper examines the translation methods of the verbal modal categories in the Sanskrit discourse of the Sanskrit texts and analyzes the essence and the language strategies of Xuanzang’s two lexical meanings and grammatical meanings of the Sanskrit verbs. The Sanskrit discourse category includes active voice, intermediate voice, passive voice and voice-induced voice. The differences between the various voice states are manifested by the verb-ending verb-ending and the systematic inflection. In Chinese, there is no change in the inflection of the Sanskrit system. Only the analytical means can be used, or the semantic features of the verb itself can be used to translate verb-labeled verbs in Sanskrit.
