阅读理解,实质上是一个既复杂又灵活的语言认知过程,它能积极地调用学习者的相关背景知识,使之立足于已知,推断并预测未知,从而达到提高读者思维能力、理解能力、概括能力和判断能力的效果。因而,在整个英语教学阶段,从学生实际出发,有意识有针对性地培养其阅读能力是必不可少的。本文从帮助学生扩大词汇量、培养学生“句子解码”能力、区别文体建立语篇结构、依据语篇结构把握主题句和理解作者写作意图几个方面论述了读者应如何提高阅读能力并运用相关阅读策略。
