根据国民经济发展的需要和部局下达的任务,由成都电焊机研究所同东方锅炉厂组成了三结合的试验研制小组,对局部低真空电子束焊接新技术以及用于锅炉集箱管接头的可能性进行探讨。经过一年来的试验研究,在一九七六年第一次对试焊的模拟锅炉集箱作过水压爆破试验,又于一九七七年进行了第二次爆破试验。结果,焊缝压力分别达到1400kg/cm~2和1570kg/cm~2,比集箱筒体原设计爆破压力(1240kg/cm~2)高,就此而言,局部低真空电子束焊接方法,用于集箱管接头的焊接是有可能的。
