In the midst of the controversy over which of the two 56Kbps analog connectivity technologies X2 and K56Flex are best, Bay Networks unveiled its Access Concentrator, which supports both X2 and K56Flex in mid-August. Bay will also add a secure server to provide front-end confirmation of remote users and e-commerce applications. Bay’s Model 8000 RAC (Remote Access Concentrator) was developed in collaboration with Rockwell Semiconductor Systems using Bay’s own Digital Signal Processor (DSP) technology.
