The experimental data reveal that some of the ship’s radiated noises pass through the narrow-band filter bank arranged in the frequency band successively, and the amplitude modulation in each channel is very similar, which is a promising target characteristic of ship noise. The paper also studies the phase information of amplitude-period modulation using high-order spectral high-order signal processing tools and gives the computer simulation results, the actual ship noise results and the specific extraction methods. Using these phase information and bispectrum amplitude information, the periodic modulation signal can be reconstructed, and this reconstruction waveform is referred to as the marker of the ship. Finally, the cross-correlation coefficients between the marked maps of three ships and the actual amplitude modulation of own ships and different ships were investigated. The correlation coefficient of own ship is much larger than the cross-correlation coefficient of different ships.
