2007年,我国的第一颗月球探测卫星“嫦娥一号”飞往月球。为激励全国人民的科学探索精神,积极推动科技进步与文化发展的融合,同时拉近高科技工程与普通百姓的距离,使公众有参与感,原国防科工委决定在嫦娥一号月球探测卫星上搭载30首由全国人民参与评选的歌曲和乐曲。当卫星进入绕月轨道以后,于距地球38万公里的遥远太空唱响这组曲目。每位中国人将能通过收音机、电视机以及互联网收听到这些来自太空的中国天籁之音。“嫦娥一号”卫星搭载的这30首太空播放曲目,是在全国公众投票的基础上选定的。国防科工委月球
