Leaf type is one of the important agronomic traits of rice, and it is very important for plant type construction. Moderate curl leaves help maintain the upright state of leaves, promote light energy absorption, delay leaf senescence and increase dry matter accumulation. Therefore, identification of leaf morphological development genes and revealing their molecular mechanisms involved in leaf development are of great significance for rice molecular design and breeding. Institute of Genetics and Developmental Biology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Institute of Genome Biology Chengzhu wide research group, cloned from rice in a new leaf
