昆虫种群的空间分布结构是种群的特征之一,因为种群分布型的形成与每种昆虫的行为特性(包括取食、聚集、迁移扩散、繁殖等)与遗传特性都有密切的关系。因此研究种群的空间分布型对于了解昆虫种群的狷獗、扩散的行为,种群的控制,以及种群的抽样和调查资料的数理统计处理都有一定的实用意义。昆虫种群的分布型一般有两类:即随机分布与聚集分布。随机分布的理论公式一般用 Poisson 分布概率公式表示:
The spatial distribution structure of insect population is one of the characteristics of the population, because the formation of population distribution and the behavior characteristics of each insect (including feeding, aggregation, migration and proliferation, reproduction, etc.) and genetic characteristics are closely related. Therefore, it is of practical significance to study the spatial distribution patterns of populations to understand the population dynamics of insects, the behavior of population diffusion, population control, population sampling and the mathematical statistics of survey data.
