Recently, China Securities Regulatory Commission and the Swiss Federal Bank Committee signed a “Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in securities and futures regulatory cooperation.” At this point, the Swiss Federal Banking Commission became the 22nd foreign securities (futures) regulator with the China Securities Regulatory Commission (MOJ). Switzerland is one of the first Western countries to recognize and establish diplomatic relations with China. In the 52 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations, the relations between the two countries have witnessed steady growth and the exchanges and cooperation in all fields have become increasingly close. The signing of the “Memorandum of Understanding on Securities and Futures Supervision and Cooperation between China and Sweden” will be conducive to the information exchange and cross-border regulatory cooperation between the CSRC and the Swiss Federal Bank Committee, which will be beneficial to the participation of Swiss financial institutions in China
