为获得高清晰度图象的大屏幕户外显示,研制了具有象元间隔为20mm的象素管。此象素管是以原来用于室内显示的“平板矩阵CRT”(FMCRT)为基础,并加上两项改进,以使该平板矩阵CRT可应用于户外。其一,为增大发光面积比(原文为aperture孔径),以使它能可靠地提供4000cd/m~2亮度,还根据主观评价试验结果,改进了象元排列。所选用象元排列既可满足高象质要求,又可使荧光屏有较长的寿命。其二,为改善对比度,研制了装在象素管上的彩色透镜滤色片,可在保持4000cd/m~2的高亮度的同时,改善对比度75%。这种新型FMCRT具有42%发光面积比和20mm象元间隔。用上述备有滤色片的FMCRT的显示屏(屏尺寸:18×9.6m~2),即使在直射阳光下,也能给出高清晰度和高对比度图象。
In order to obtain a large-screen outdoor display of high-definition images, a pixel tube having a pixel interval of 20 mm has been developed. This pixel tube is based on the “flat matrix CRT” (FMCRT), originally used for indoor display, and adds two improvements to make the flat panel CRT suitable for outdoor use. First, in order to increase the emission area ratio (original aperture aperture), so that it can reliably provide 4000cd / m ~ 2 brightness, but also based on subjective evaluation test results, improved pixel arrangement. The new FMCRT has a 42% light emitting area ratio and 20mm pixel spacing. With the FMCRT with color filter (screen size: 18 × 9.6m ~ 2), high definition and high contrast images are obtained even in direct sunlight.
