Blog has always had the potential to earn money through text ads. But Vive Networks hopes to help bloggers take their ads to a deeper level. The Cambridge mass multimedia ad service provider is making U.S. dollars through joint blogs and video ads. Ted Long, the founder of Vive Networks, revealed earlier that the company will only work with blogs that are willing to use multimedia content, and indeed, some may be more suitable for text or banner ads. Advertising agencies contacted by Vive have a strong interest in entertainment, television, sports and automotive, and prospective bloggers can apply by sending an email. According to Vive, the criteria for measuring the value of a blog include the quality and content of the blog itself, the archives of the target audience, the relevance of the advertiser’s needs, and the traffic and audience image of the blog. The company designed a system where bloggers, once certified, simply copied and pasted HTML links to get targeted video ads on the site. Vive is currently experimenting with some bloggers and advertisers and will officially launch it to the public in the coming days. Long said Vive is working on a “mixed model” for advertisers to measure advertising results based on audiences or ad site traffic. He also said he hopes advertisers are working
