无论是社会政治还是文化政治,其核心问题都是权力的问题;社会政治重视的是社会权力,而文化政治关注的则是文化权力。文化政治是一种微观政治,它更多关心特定群体在特定时代的特定利益,与全局性、至上性的宏观政治相比,总是显得微细、次要、边缘,但其情况的优劣能反过来影响宏观政治的质态。文化政治的社会功能,往往作为一种“政治无意识”而得以实现。由于文化政治的介入,晚近以来文学理论在许多方面发生了后现代转折,从国内外近期出版的文学理论教材,可以发现若干值得注意的新动向。
