晶体后纤维增生症(RLF,retrolental fibroplasia)即早产儿视网膜病变(retinopathy of prematurity),系早产婴儿给氧过多引起未成熟的周边视网膜的毛细血管阻塞,致使此区域有血管纤维性增生,继而在晶体后形成纤维团块。近年来,RLF的发生率在继续增加;Kingham的病例中,有发生RLF危险的婴儿占17%,比以往高得多。在存活的出生体重愈小、愈不成熟的婴儿,其发生率愈高;孕期小于35周期、体重低于2000克之婴儿发病的危险性最大。视网膜血管系统的正常胚胎发育,始于视乳头而随间质呈离心性扩展,生长到鼻侧周边需时36周,颞侧需时40周。因此,在早产儿视网膜周边的颞侧是最不成熟的,故在此区域开始发生RLF的最早期改变。
