人民教育出版社高中物理新课标教材《物理》(必修一)第四章第一节《牛顿第一定律》的教材编排是先学习牛顿第一定律内容,再通过“思考与讨论”对“惯性与质量”的关系做深入讨论,最后得出了结论:描述物体惯性的物理量是质量。教材内容如图1所示。一、教材编排的不妥之处首先,牛顿第一定律不应涉及质量,但本节教材在惯性概念上牵出质量,存“知识越界”之嫌。1686年,牛顿在他的划时代著作《自然哲学的数学原理》一书中写到:任何物体都要保持其静止或匀速直线运动
