备受瞩目的淮南区“稿”字邮票,由于档案史料的缺佚, 其发行单位、发行时间与属性等多有争议。本文作者经多方寻觅,查阅了部分《新路东》报与相关史料,并采访了今尚健在的原淮南交通总站站长杨秉超与原《新路东》报编辑沈文英、报务员潘子仪等,对《新路东》报及“稿”字邮票的相关情况等作了调查了解,使存世的“稿”字四方连邮票的诞生的历史背景之谜得以解读,从而进一步验证了“稿”字邮票印刷、用纸的史实。
