One of the hallmarks of the epidemic is its dissemination. The disease invaded Europe throughout the four years after the first Black Death in Marseille in 1347. Nearly a third of the people died. In the four years since the United States first reported AIDS, the disease has been reported in about 40 countries on five continents. The known 10,000 cases, of course, can not compare with the 24 million who died of the black death. However, due to an unreasonable social system or racial discrimination, it is a major problem even in countries where infectious diseases have been eliminated. So, the terrifying things that happened in the past are still likely to happen.
