目前,在化学中和滴定、氧化-还原滴定、络合滴定的实际工作中,绝大部分还是采用各种指示剂的颜色变化来确定终点。然而,等当终点的灵敏性,也就是色度变化的敏锐性,对分析结果的准确度影响极大。很多容量分析的滴定反应,由于条件不同,其指示剂的终点颜色变化是不够敏锐的。存在着较长的颜色过渡区域。所以,我们用肉眼很难准确辨别反应的等当终点。当然,理想的方法是采用化学光度滴定仪来判别终点。但我国目前尚无此类仪器。
