Water potential is the basic unit of plant water status and is also the most commonly used indicator of water physiology [1]. In plant water potential, leaf water potential is the most sensitive physiological index to reflect the water deficit in plants. It changes due to the change of environmental factors, which is the characterization of plant water status. It reflects that the plant physiological activities are restricted by the environmental water conditions . Although leaf water potential is the best measure of water status, the transport of moisture between plants and between plants and soil depends on the water potential of each tissue
