住友金属工业与京都大学一起,成功地开发了可用于癌的温热疗法的生物活性陶瓷发热体。从外部使埋入人体的陶瓷形成磁场,使之发热,用这种热攻击癌细胞。作为临床应用的准备阶段,目前是在死猪骨中放入发热体后,把磁场调整到150奥斯特,于是几乎在十几分钟内就很容易达到杀死癌细胞的温度43℃。今后研究小组将在大白鼠植入癌的患部放入这种发热体,
Sumitomo Metal Industries, together with Kyoto University, has successfully developed a bioactive ceramic heating element that can be used for cancer’s thermotherapy. From the outside, the ceramic embedded in the human body is formed into a magnetic field, which generates heat and attacks the cancer cells with this heat. As a preparation stage for clinical application, the magnetic field is adjusted to 150 Oersted after the heating element is placed in the bones of the dead pigs, and then the temperature for killing the cancer cells is easily reached within 43 minutes in 43 minutes.
