科技查新是一项要求高、难度大的工作，在一定程度上反映了高校图书馆的参考咨询能力和高校的科研情况。文章介绍了高校图书馆科技查新工作的内涵与意义，并着重从建设文献资源、培养用户查新意识、优化人才队伍结构以及建立激励机制四个方面，提出了搞好科技查新工作的措施。
