Objective To evaluate the effectiveness of family management in community diabetic patients. Methods Ninety-five patients with type 2 diabetes were randomly divided into intervention group and control group. The intervention group provided targeted health education and guidance on diet, exercise, medication and blood glucose monitoring based on the management of routine chronic non-communicable diseases (chronic diseases). After 6 months, the blood sugar levels and health behaviors of the two groups were compared. Results The fasting blood glucose, postprandial blood glucose and glycosylated hemoglobin in the intervention group were significantly different from those in the control group (P <0.05). The intervention group was significantly better than the control group (P <0.05) in the aspects of health behavior change. Conclusion Family management can improve the compliance and effectiveness of treatment of diabetic patients, which is good for blood sugar control.
