I’d love to see the writer write history after 70s. This does not mean that they do not care about the reality. On the contrary, the reason why contemporary writers can not write well is often because of their lack of rational cognition of Chinese history and their lack of in-depth research and questioning. For China more than half a century ago, the long wars, frequent campaigns, various revolutions and reforms have far-reaching implications for contemporary China. At the macro level, they include institutional models, social structures, and cultural forms. At the micro level , One village, one family, and even one person, his values, ways of thinking and emotions, and even personal circumstances, etc. Most of us can find their origin in the rivers of history.
