1994年7月5日,第八届全国人大常委会第八次会议审议通过了《中华人民共和国劳动法》。《劳动法》颁行20年来,各级工会组织依法履行职工利益代表者维护者职责,帮助指导职工签订劳动合同,代表职工签订集体合同,监督企业执行劳动标准,推进企业实行厂务公开民主管理……有力地维护了职工的合法权益,促进了劳动关系的和谐稳定。值此《劳动法》颁行20周年之际,本刊特刊登工会组织依法维护职工权益的几个小故事,从不同侧面展示工会组织20年来特别是近年来依法维权的历程。这些维权之举,在保障职工合法权益、促进企业发展、维护社会和谐稳定等方面发挥了重要作用。
July 5, 1994, the Eighth Meeting of the Eighth National People’s Congress examined and adopted Labor Law of the People’s Republic of China. In the 20 years since the promulgation of the “Labor Law,” trade unions at all levels have performed the duties of defenders of employees’ interest representatives according to law, helping guide employees in signing labor contracts, signing collective contracts on behalf of employees, supervising the implementation of labor standards by enterprises, and promoting enterprises to practice open and democratic management of factory affairs ... effectively safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of workers and promote the harmonious and stable labor relations. On the occasion of the twentieth anniversary of the promulgation of the “Labor Law,” this special issue of the Trade Unions organizes several small stories on safeguarding the rights and interests of workers according to law and on different sides shows the history of trade union organizations over the past 20 years, especially in recent years. These rights protections have played an important role in safeguarding the legitimate rights and interests of employees, promoting the development of enterprises, and maintaining social harmony and stability.
