Traumatic brain injury (TBI) is a mechanical injury to the brain, which can be sustained due to falls, accidents, contact sports or in combat situation. It is a serious health problem-affecting people of all ages worldwide. As per the recent epidemiological study, more than 55 million people suffer from TBI annually (GBD 2016 Traumatic Brain Injury and Spinal Cord Injury Collaborators,2019),and its prevalence has increased by almost 8.4% between 1990 and 2016 (GBD 2016 Traumatic Brain Injury and Spinal Cord Injury Collaborators,2019).
