周肇祥(1880—1954),字嵩灵,号养庵,别号退翁,浙江绍兴人。我国近代著名的书画家、文物鉴赏收藏家。周氏为清末举人,肄业于京师大学堂。民国初年,任四川补用道、奉天劝业道、署理盐运使、临时参政院参政、葫芦岛商埠督办,曾一度出任湖南省省长,继而任清史馆提调、北京古物陈列所所长。晚年任团城国学书院副院长,教授金石书画。周肇祥先生精通诗文,在书法、绘画、篆刻等方面都有很深的造诣。研学之余尤嗜古物珍玩,一生广泛搜求,在文物鉴赏方面颇有见识,这也当是他被委任为古物陈
