21世纪是海洋的世纪,海洋覆盖地球3/4的面积,是人类持续发展最重要的资源与能源基础之一。走向深水是中国海洋石油可持续发展的重要战略举措,深海油气开发既有广阔的前景,同时也面临着巨大的风险和挑战。20天内,中国海上石油开发的一连串举动,让世界惊诧,国人惊喜—从2012年5月9日到5月27日,深海钻井平台“海洋石油981”、深水铺管起重船“海洋石油201”、可燃冰综合调查船“海洋六号”纷纷亮相南海。中国石油开采的深海时代已经到来!中国首座自主设计、建造的第六代深水半潜式钻井平台“海洋石油981”的成功开钻,这标志着由我国自主设计的、投资的第六代深水钻井平台,正式进军南海海域作业。浩浩南海,无穷的宝藏,中国经济持续腾飞的又一个强力“发动机”。从这一点来说,深海战略的实施,对于中华民族的前途意义过于重大。
