一九六三年五月二十日国务院全体会议第一三一次会议通过恢复西林县。以合并于隆林各族自治县的原西林县行政区域为西林县的行政区域。
On January 20, 1963, the 131st Meeting of the Plenum of the State Council approved the restoration of Xilin County. The original Xilin County administrative area, which was merged with all ethnic autonomous counties in Longlin County, is the administrative area of Xilin County.
