为适应城市绿化美化事业发展的需要,我市于1985年从江苏省常州市引进优良草坪植物匍匐剪股颖,经过5年来定点试种获得成功,已在全市种植6万多平方米,绿化效果很好,已作为重点推广种植的优良草坪植物之一.匍匐剪股颖(Agrostis Patustris Huds)俗名四季青,为禾本科剪股颖属多年草本植物.很系发达,分蘖能力很强.茎叶绿色,稠密、矮生、呈匍匐状生长,属地毯式草坪草种之一.适宜微酸至弱碱的沙壤上生长,耐寒、耐阴、耐湿.生长期长,基本能达到四季长青,长期发挥绿化作用.生长快、耐修剪,分株繁殖后10～15天返青,30天左右即可全部覆盖.
