现代化生产中,机床的可靠性最充分表征其优良品质,并可决定自动化的费用及其水平。对金属加工机床,最常表征的是功能可靠性和参数(精度)可靠性,其保证方法差别较大。同样,对各种类型的机床(通用、多用途、轻载、重载机床等),可靠性要求也显著不同。所有这些,从结构可靠性观点出发,对结构不能形成统一的要求。
