The great October socialist revolution that took place in Russia has opened up a vast road to the further development of science and industry. Before the revolution, Russia’s chemical industry was so weak that it could not meet Russia’s various economic needs. The basic chemical industry - acid, alkali and salt production is also underdeveloped. The few chemical plants are semi-industrial, and most of them belong to foreigners or rely on foreign capital. The main management of these factories are foreign experts. Although Russia has its own source of raw materials for producing all the necessary chemical products, many important chemical products are still imported from abroad. The absence of a highly developed chemical industry also severely affected the development of chemical science in Russia, depriving it of the foundation for its further development.
