新余钢铁厂良山铁矿是江西省最大的一座贫磁铁矿矿山,从1970年开始建设,1977年初步建成投产。良山铁矿矿床地层属于震旦纪沉积变质岩。矿石为新余式(类似鞍山式)贫磁铁矿,分为云母条带状磁铁石英岩和绿泥石磁铁石英岩两种类型。进入选厂的原矿全铁品位为24%左右,原矿磁性铁品位为18%左右,矿石比重3.2,硬度系数f=12—14,围岩比重2.6,硬度f=8—10。矿石中磁铁矿嵌布粒度0.02—0.5毫米,一般较细。条带状的磁铁石
