动物实验证实，苦菜水提液腹腔注射可显著延长小鼠常压缺氧下的存活时间（Ｐ＜０．０１），对小鼠脑和心肌缺氧有明显的保护作用（Ｐ＜０．０１），对垂体后叶素致兔急性心肌缺血具有保护作用（Ｐ＜０．０５）。
Animal experiments confirmed that the intraperitoneal injection of water extract of bitter herbs can significantly prolong the survival time of mice under normobaric hypoxia (P<0.01), and has a significant protective effect on mouse hypoxic brain and myocardium (P<0. 01) It has a protective effect on acute myocardial ischemia in rabbits induced by pituitrin (P<0.05).
