腺苷脱氨酶(ADA)在细胞免疫反应时由淋巴细胞及巨噬细胞释放,对腺苷转变为肌苷有触媒作用。有人报道ADA 活性可用于诊断结核性脑膜炎及胸膜积液,但尚未广泛用于结核性腹膜炎的诊断。作者对41例证实为结核性腹水(结核组)及41例非结核性腹水(对照组)中的ADA 活性作了比较,然后对64例腹水患者进行前瞻性研究,以确定ADA 活性对诊断结核性腹水的敏感性与特异性。82例研究对象为1982年1月至1986年1月的住院腹水患者,每组中女性21例,男性20例。结核组平均年龄48岁,对照组48岁。结核组中14例、对照组中11例有酗酒史。对照组中腹水原因12例为酒精性肝
