由上海市经委布置的上海乐器铜材厂研制开发的高塑稀土仿金材料于1991年5月9日在上海通过鉴定。该材料在铜基体中加入微量稀土后使材料有较高的强度,达到407.5牛顿/毫米~2延伸率也较大,达到64.4%,硬度达到HV 74 .1,并具有一定的耐酸耐碱性。该材料色泽达到18K金水平,还可通过成份调正使颜色偏红或偏黄。目前此种仿金材料既可用于首饰,装饰。最近,该厂还与制笔公司紧密合作,用于笔套,其色泽鲜艳,使笔价由每枝8元增至20元。
