《汉书》卷七《昭帝纪》记载了始见于昭帝元凤三年（前78年）的一项礼制: 三月,赐郡国所选有行义者涿郡韩福等五人帛,人五十 匹,遣归。诏曰:“朕闵劳以官职之事,其务修孝弟以教乡 里。令郡县常以正月赐羊、酒。有不幸者赐衣服一袭,祠以中 牢。”（中华书局校点本《汉书》第一册225页）杨树达《汉书窥管》卷一说:“‘正月’,《王贡两龚鲍传》作‘八月’。以《后书》刘平等传考之,‘八月’是也。详《王贡两龚传》。” 杨树达认为“正月”是“八月”之误,并说明有关论证将在《王贡两龚传》里展开。鉴于眼下最为通行的《汉书》校点本尚未采用杨说,而弄清“正月”是否“八月”之误的问题又有助于其他文献的整理研究,我们有必要继续探讨《汉书》卷七十二《龚胜传》的有关记载:
