本研究考察了某大学英语专题课“语言、文化与交际”中“语言态度”一讲的设计、实施和效果,目的是温和地干预学生对世界英语变体的态度,促进通过反思获得更加开放的态度,提高跨文化能力。课程设计包括四个步骤:引发、解构、重构、对交际困境的创意处理。研究发现大多数学生最初的语言态度相当保守;四步骤干预让他们质疑刻板印象,并带来了一些转变。本文讨论了语言态度转变及相关教育的挑战。
This study examines the design, implementation and effectiveness of a lecture on English language in a college English language curriculum in Language, Culture and Communication. The purpose of this study is to moderately interfere with students’ attitudes toward World English variants and to promote their adoption Reflecting a more open attitude and improving intercultural competence. Curriculum design consists of four steps: initiation, deconstruction, reconstruction, creative handling of communicative difficulties. The study found that most of the students were fairly conservative in their initial language attitude; four-step intervention led them to question stereotypes and bring about some changes. This article discusses the change in language attitude and the challenges related to education.
