我和盖叫天先生相识以来三十多年了.和他同班演过戏.近二十多年来和他很少见面,可是他给与我的印象将永远留在记忆之中.我第一次看他的戏是“三岔口”.一时无二的杰作使满座的观众感到惊异,为之喜悦欢呼.他的形体动作精炼到难以形容;生动、灵活、飘逸、刚健而准确的动作构成舞蹈的美,表现出勇敢坚定的英雄形象.就舞姿而论,他无论什么戏都有其独到之处:刚劲有如百炼钢,也可以柔软得像条绸带子;快起来如飞燕掠波,舒缓之处像春风拂柳;动起来像珠走玉盘,戛然静止就像奇峰迎面.这要靠才能,主要还是靠功夫.盖叫天先生无论那一个戏里,没一处不见才能,
