肉桂原产我国,为一栽培种。云南引种的肉桂,一般种植后4—6年生树即可开花结实,10—15年生树即可剥取桂皮。不同种植地由于自然条件的影响,肉桂生育期有一定的差异。不同品种桂油含量有明显的变化,成分差异很小。
