Vai Cather is the first great American woman writer in the history of American literature who painstakingly described the Midwestern “Pioneer Era ”. Kather saw the negative impact of the highly industrialized development on mankind and saw the destruction of the good things of human beings. She therefore cherished a better memory of the good times in the pioneering era of the West and sought to find solutions to the problems from the pioneering spirit. “My Antonia” is created by the author for praising the spirit of “Pioneering Era”; “a lost woman” wrote an elegy full of sadness for this vanished “Pioneer Era” .
