从当今多元化社会的大背景入手,分析了功能主义出现的历史原因,探讨了与之相关的设计理念的发展与变化,针对后现代社会的高度快速发展对产品设计领城带来的巨大影响和冲击及其对设计师们不断提出的新要求,对工业设计专业的主干设计基础课程——三维立体构成的教学进行了大胆改革,从该课程的教学目的和教学要求出发,提出了一种满足后现代设计需要的新的教学思路和教学方法,从立体感觉和语义知觉训练这两个途径进行了方法上的探索和实践。
